Mattfinity Lip Rouge by Mirenesse is a matte-finish mousse lip colour applied with a wand.
The first thing I noticed is that the lip rouge smells lovely, quite like the delicious smell of Lipsmackers. The angled application wand is flexible and easy to use. It is small enough that it is not difficult to follow the natural lip line, even if your lips are small.
While the name is reminiscent of stay-on lip colours such as Max Factor Lipfinity and L'Oreal Infallible duo, it is quite different to these products. The texture is moisturising, and it is a single step colour- no top coat or gloss required. It takes a little longer to set; the instructions suggest 15 seconds but I found it needed a few minutes before it was fully dry. Once set, the lip rouge has a soft texture. The colour does not bleed at all and the instructions advise that no lip liner is necessary.
Mattfinity is available in a range of colours. I got 'Rome', which is just a touch pinker than a nude shade. It is a subtle colour suitable for everyday wear. The pigment is quite strong, giving full coverage.
Mattfinity Lip Rouge is available from the Mirenesse website for $39.95, or half price for VIP members.
