Matte Lip Colour by E.l.f. Studio is a dependable product, suitable for everyday use. A thick, retractable lip pencil, it is easy to apply and has decent staying power.
It is available in only five shades. I used Tea Rose, a dusty pink which makes the lips stand out. It looks best when used with lip liner in a similar shade. A creamy texture means it does not dry out the lips, and does not need to be followed up with a top coat.
An inbuilt sharpener, which can be accessed by pulling on the coloured end of the plastic pencil, can be used to keep the lip pencil sharp for precise application.
The product stays on quite well for a lipstick, but it is prone to transfer on to drinking glasses.
E.l.f. (eyes lips face) is a cheap yet highly regarded make-up brand. The Studio range is slightly more expensive than their base range, yet still quite affordable.
The Matte Lip Color by E.l.f. Studio is available for $8 from the E.l.f. website or from Kmart.
