The Colourissimo Palette Levres by Bourjois is a palette of three lip colours with a small applicator brush. The colours can be combined, or worn separately.
The palette is available in several colour combinations. Shown below is 04- Nudes Dandy, which features a natural pink, an orange/nude shade, and a light burnt red.
The lip palette is in a similar format to Bourjois eye palettes, which are a favourite of mine. However, the colours are much less intense than the usual highly pigmented products by Bourjois. The colour looks strong in the palette, but only provides a subtle effect when applied.
The applicator brush is spongy, like an eye shadow brush. This was disappointing, as the applicator absorbs the colour. You have to really dig in to the lip colours in order to get anything on the brush. The blunt shape of the applicator is also difficult to use on lips. Using a regular lip brush produced much more favourable results.
The packaging of the palette is convenient. It is lightweight plastic yet sturdy, so it would survive being tossed around in a handbag. The opening and closing mechanism is easy to use, but not prone to open of its own accord.
The Colorissimo lip palette by Bourjois is available from Fishpond.com.au for $14.95.
